Day 1Â Arusha
Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport. You will be greeted and transferred to Moivaro Arusha Safari Lodge in Arusha for an overnight stay. (B)
Day 2 Ngorongoro Crater
After enjoying a hearty breakfast at the lodge, check out and embark on a scenic drive to the Ngorongoro Forest Tented Lodge. Settle in for a two-night stay amidst the stunning natural surroundings. (BLD)
Day 3 Ngorongoro Crater
Start your day with an early morning departure to explore the world-renowned Ngorongoro Crater. This UNESCO World Heritage Site, often referred to as the “Eighth Wonder of the World,” boasts one of the highest densities of wildlife in Africa. As you descend into the crater, you’ll be greeted by breathtaking views and the chance to see a variety of animals, including the Big Five—lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards, and rhinos.
Spend the entire day immersed in the natural beauty and diverse ecosystems of the crater. Enjoy a picnic lunch amidst the stunning landscape, providing a perfect break to take in the serene surroundings. In the afternoon, continue your game drive, keeping an eye out for the rich array of bird species and other wildlife that call this unique environment home. Day 4 Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, embark on a journey to the legendary Serengeti National Park. En route, make a fascinating stop at Olduvai Gorge, one of the most important paleoanthropological sites in the world. Here, you can explore the small museum and learn about the significant discoveries of early human fossils made by the Leakey family, offering a glimpse into the origins of humankind.
Continue your drive through the breathtaking landscapes, arriving at Kisura Camp in the heart of the Serengeti by late afternoon. Settle in for a three-night stay, surrounded by the iconic plains that host the Great Migration. Enjoy the unparalleled beauty and tranquility of the Serengeti, with the anticipation of exciting wildlife encounters over the coming days. (BLD)
Day 5 & 6 Serengeti National Park
Immerse yourself in the awe-inspiring wilderness of Serengeti National Park with two full days dedicated to thrilling game drives. Each day, set out early to catch the park’s wildlife at its most active. Traverse the vast, rolling plains, woodlands, and riverine forests, encountering an incredible variety of animals, including prides of lions, herds of elephants, and elusive leopards.
During your game drives, witness the remarkable spectacle of the Great Migration, where thousands of wildebeests and zebras traverse the landscape in search of fresh grazing. Take breaks to enjoy picturesque picnic lunches in the heart of the park, allowing you to fully absorb the magnificent surroundings. As the sun sets, return to Kisura Camp to relax and recount the day’s adventures under the star-studded African sky. (BLD)
Day 7 Lake Manyara National Park
Depart from the Serengeti and embark on a scenic drive to Lake Manyara National Park. Upon arrival, dive straight into an exciting game drive through this diverse park, known for its lush vegetation, soda lake, and remarkable wildlife. Keep an eye out for the famous tree-climbing lions, large herds of elephants, and a dazzling array of birdlife, including thousands of flamingos that paint the lake’s shores pink.
In the afternoon, leave the park and make your way to the Luxury Escarpment Lodge, nestled on the edge of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Settle into your luxurious accommodations and unwind, enjoying breathtaking views over Lake Manyara. Day 8 Amboseli National Park
After breakfast, embark on a drive to Amboseli National Park, passing through the Namanga Border to cross into Kenya. The journey offers scenic views of the changing landscapes, from lush highlands to the arid regions closer to Amboseli. Upon arrival, check in at the Amboseli Sopa Lodge, your home for the next two nights.
Settle into your comfortable accommodations, surrounded by beautiful gardens and views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Take some time to relax and enjoy the lodge’s amenities, perhaps taking a refreshing dip in the pool or simply soaking in the serene atmosphere. Prepare for the adventures to come, as Amboseli is renowned for its large elephant herds and spectacular vistas. (BLD)
Day 9 Amboseli National Park
Today is dedicated to exploring the wonders of Amboseli National Park with a full-day game drive. Rise early to catch the sunrise over the savannah, casting a golden hue on the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro in the background. Amboseli is famous for its large herds of elephants, and you’ll have ample opportunities to observe these gentle giants as they roam freely against the backdrop of Africa’s highest peak.
During your game drive, keep an eye out for other wildlife that call Amboseli home, including buffalo, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and various antelope species. The park is also a birdwatcher’s paradise, with over 400 bird species recorded here, from colourful flamingos to majestic birds of prey.
As the day draws to a close, witness the vibrant hues of the sunset painting the sky before returning to Amboseli Sopa Lodge for a relaxing evening, recounting the day’s incredible sightings and experiences. (BLD)
Day 10 Lake Nakuru
Depart from Amboseli after breakfast for a scenic drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, known for its rich birdlife and rhino population. Enjoy the journey as you traverse through Kenya’s diverse landscapes, passing rural towns and picturesque scenery.
Upon arrival at Lake Nakuru, embark on a thrilling game drive through the park. Keep your camera ready to capture sightings of the park’s famous residents, including white and black rhinos, Rothschild giraffes, lions, leopards, and an abundance of bird species, such as flamingos and pelicans.
In the late afternoon, arrive at Ziwa Bush Camp, your luxurious accommodation nestled in the heart of the wilderness. Settle into your tented suite, which combines comfort with an authentic safari experience. Relax and unwind with a sundowner drink as you take in the sights and sounds of the bush around you. Day 11 Masai Mara
Depart Lake Nakuru after breakfast and embark on a scenic drive to the world-renowned Masai Mara National Reserve. As you journey through Kenya’s landscapes, soak in the beauty of the Rift Valley escarpment and rural villages along the way.
Upon arrival at Zebra Plains, your luxurious camp in the heart of the Masai Mara, settle into your comfortable accommodation and enjoy a delicious lunch. In the afternoon, embark on an exhilarating game drive across the vast plains of the Mara. The reserve is renowned for its abundant wildlife, including the Big Five—lions, elephants, leopards, buffalo, and rhinos—as well as the annual Great Migration of wildebeest and zebras.
Experience the thrill of encountering these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat, guided by expert Maasai trackers who offer insights into their behaviors and habitats. Capture breathtaking sunset views over the savannah before returning to camp for a delightful dinner. (BLD)
Day 12 & 13 Masai Mara
Spend these two days immersing yourself in the unparalleled beauty and wildlife of the Masai Mara National Reserve with full-day game drives. Rise early each morning for a sunrise safari, where the soft light casts a magical glow over the savannah. Accompanied by skilled guides and Maasai trackers, venture deep into the reserve’s diverse landscapes, from rolling grasslands to acacia-dotted plains and meandering rivers.
Explore the Mara’s rich wildlife, which includes the Big Five and a multitude of other species such as giraffes, hippos, crocodiles, cheetahs, and a variety of birdlife. Keep your camera ready to capture thrilling wildlife encounters, whether it’s a lioness on the hunt, a herd of elephants bathing in a river, or a graceful leopard resting in a tree.
In the late afternoon, return to Zebra Plains to relax and unwind. Reflect on the day’s adventures while enjoying sundowner drinks and sharing stories around the campfire. Day 14 Nairobi
After breakfast at Zebra Plains, bid farewell to the magnificent Masai Mara National Reserve as you embark on your journey back to Nairobi. Enjoy a leisurely drive through the Mara, taking in the last glimpses of its iconic landscapes and wildlife.
Upon arrival in Nairobi, your driver will drop you off at your hotel or directly at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward journey.
